Q: What type of License will I receive?
A: There are two types of Licenses you can qualify for, a restricted or a unrestricted.
Restricted: If you qualify with any type of legal handgun except a semi-automatic, you will not be allowed to carry a semi-automatic with this type of license.
Unrestricted: If you qualify with a semi-automatic handgun, you can carry any type of legal handgun with this license.
Q: Are there any age restrictions to obtain a Arkansas or Missouri License?
A: Arkansas Residents: 21 Years of Age
Missouri Residents: 23 Years of Age
Q: What other costs are associated with obtaining a Concealed Carry License?
A: Arkansas Residents: Once you complete a course, you will be given all documentation needed for your license. These documents will be sent to the Arkansas State Police Headquarters in Little Rock, along with $144.25 for the cost of your License.
Missouri Residents: Go to the Sheriff's Office of the County in which you reside with proof of residency, $100 cash along with a Certificate of Training from a Concealed Carry Instructor.
Q: How long is a Arkansas or Missouri License good for?
A: Arkansas is good for Five (5) years.
Missouri is good for Three (3) years.
Q: How do I know whether to take a "beginner" or a "experienced" concealed carry class?
A: If you know how to correctly load, unload and accurately fire your handgun, you would probably want to take the "experienced" class. If you are not comfortable with these processes without assistance, you would probably want to take the "beginners" class.
If you are a new gun owner (or just want to see how many bad habits you have developed over the years) you would probably want to take the "beginners" class.
Q: How do I renew my current License?
A: For Arkansas: You will need to contact a Concealed Carry Instructor to do so. You can renew your License up to 90 days prior to the expiration date. You will have to re-qualify with your handgun. You will be brought up to date on all new laws pertaining to the License, along with the reciprocating States. The Instructor will give you the necessary documentation required to be sent in for renewal.
For Missouri: Contact the Sheriff's Office of the County in which you reside.
Q: What other States do Arkansas and Missouri reciprocate with?

If your License is not from a reciprocating State, you will need to take the Arkansas Concealed Handgun Licensing course from a Certified Instructor.
